The Memorial stands on a small grass area in Upper Street.
It was unveiled at a public ceremony on 9th October 1921 by Vice Admiral Sir Roger Keyes, and was dedicated by the Archbishop of Canterbury. (See photograph here)
A transcription of the full Tilmanstone “Roll of Honour” can be found here. This lists all those people with Tilmanstone connections who served in WW1.
